ETHEL CAIN’S MAGNIFICENT MELODRAMA

ETHEL CAIN

Ethel Cain, the singer-songwriter dubbed “the most famous girl at the Waffle House” by The New York Times, is about to make a splash outside of her rural Alabama stronghold splendor.

Promotional photos for her “Preacher’s Daughter” album portray Cain as evocative and seductive, half confessional woman upholding the strict patriarchal rule of the American South, half wayward pin-up girl with a hint of doom.

A doomed secret—it’s no surprise that the artist made his New York and Paris Fashion Week debuts earlier this year, walking the runways for Eckhaus Latta and Miu Miu respectively.
