An unexpected alliance, Dickies and Gucci Vault are celebrating the holiday season with a new capsule collection. The iconic workwear brand has been in business since 1922 and decided to do something special for its 100th anniversary. In the 90s, Dickies dressed everyone from skateboarders to streetwalkers and, well, real workers, solidifying the brand as a workwear mainstay. Until now, we have not yet seen these classic workwear staples undergo the same luxurious treatment.
Dickies is no stranger to collaborations and usually collaborates with brands that focus more on streetwear. The utility label has been redesigned in the past by brands such as Opening Ceremony, Our Legacy, Workshop and, notoriously, Supreme. Gucci, on the other hand, has been involved in several collaborations of its own this year; Gucci x Palace Skateboards and Gucci x Gremlins anyone?
