Online portfolio platform ArtStation has announced that users will be able to select a feature that aims to exclude their work from algorithmic art creation tools — “AI” platforms like DAL-E that combine large libraries of images to respond to human cues with “new” creations. The sources of these images have become a controversial topic, as the artists claim their work is being taken and recycled without proper credit or consent.
